Bicol College Alumnus Recognized as Outstanding Teacher in Sorsogon

Bicol College proudly congratulates Mr. Christian Ll. Bitantes, an alumnus of the College of Teacher Education, for being recognized as one of the Outstanding Teachers in the Division of Sorsogon. The awarding ceremony was held at the Sorsogon Convention Center in Sorsogon City.

Mr. Bitantes currently serves as a teacher at Bayawas Elementary School, Pilar II District, Pilar, Sorsogon. His recognition reflects his dedication to education and his commitment to shaping the lives of young learners in his community.

In a message posted on social media, Mr. Bitantes expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his alma mater, Bicol College in Daraga, Albay, for recognizing and congratulating him on his achievement. He thanked the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution, led by Dr. Maria Luz T. Macasinag, for their continuous commitment to shaping and inspiring future educators.

He also extended special appreciation to Dr. Mary Ann Loquez, Corporate Secretary of Bicol College, for the genuine support, guidance, and encouragement she provided during his college years.

Mr. Bitantes further shared that it was a great honor for him to be recognized at the House of Representatives, highlighting the significance of the award and the recognition of his contributions to education.

In his message, he also expressed gratitude to God and to the people who became part of his journey. Reflecting on his humble beginnings, he shared that from being a tiklad maker, he was able to rise and become an Outstanding Teacher—emphasizing that success is not defined by where one starts but by perseverance, faith, and gratitude.
